Africell Sierra Leone has hosted an event titled ‘An Evening With The Stars’, bringing together entertainers, government representatives, industry stakeholders and other guests to celebrate the country’s entertainment industry.
The event, held on Wednesday, October 28, was attended by Africell Chairman and Founder Ziad Dalloul, Chief Executive Officer Shadi Gerjawi, group management, government representatives, partners, media practitioners and other distinguished guests.
The evening featured recognition of Sierra Leonean entertainers, including Africell brand ambassadors Famous, Drizilik and DJ Switch. Performances were also delivered by BOII, DJ Lacey and the Krio Fusion Band.
Africell said its involvement in the entertainment sector includes marketing, branding, media exposure and performance-based support for local artists.
The company also disclosed that it has more than one million followers across its digital platforms and is developing new music initiatives aimed at increasing the visibility of Sierra Leonean artists.
The event comes amid growing engagement between corporate organisations and players in Sierra Leone’s entertainment industry, particularly in areas of artist promotion, commercial partnerships and digital exposure.
