President of Sierra Leone, Dr. Julius Maada Bio has announced new appointments subject to the approval of Parliament

The President has approved several new appointments across key national institutions. The appointments include John Gbondo Margai as Chairman of the Sierra Leone Roads Authority; Gerald Demby as Chairman of the National Water Resources Management Agency, with Claude Sheriff and Fatmatta Stevens appointed as Board Members of the same institution; Rev. Dr. T.T. Samba as Chairman of the University of Sierra Leone Teaching Hospitals Complex, with Prof. Alhaji Njai and Dr. Ayesha Idriss as Board Members.

Also appointed are Alieu Kokobay as Chairman of the National Tourist Board; Alusine Sowe as Deputy Director General of the Sierra Leone National Shipping Agency; Alex J. Mami as Deputy Director General (Admin) of the Sierra Leone Meteorological Agency; Ing. Lahai Sowa as Deputy Director General of the Road Maintenance Fund Administration; and Christabel Adama Decker as Deputy Director General of the Financial Intelligence Agency.

Dr. Amadu Barrie has been appointed Board Member of the Sierra Leone Roads Authority, while Marion Gouldson has been named Board Member of the Sierra Leone National Shipping Agency. Pastor Mohamed Sesay has been appointed Board Member of the Right to Access Information (Western Area); Leslie Gordon-Browne as Board Member of NASSIT; Marie Mansaray as Board Member of the Road Maintenance Fund Administration; and Ibrahim Sam as Board Member of the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority.

Additional appointments include Prince A. Macarthy as Board Member of the Road Maintenance Fund Administration; Mohamed Mwonde Allieu as Member of the Produce Monitoring Board (Eastern Region); Memunatu Kadi Sawi as Member of the Produce Monitoring Board (Southern Region); Mohamed Sallieu Bangura as Member of the Political Parties Regulation Commission; and Mellista Lady-Jane Stack-Davies as Member of the Sierra Leone Electricity and Water Regulatory Commission.
