
On Thursday, a high-level delegation representing the All People’s Congress (APC) and the immediate family of the late Hon. Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray visited State House to personally thank President Julius Maada Bio for his assistance following the politician’s passing. The late Hon. Mansaray died on Tuesday in Dakar, Senegal.
APC Acting Chairman Hon. Osman Foday Yansaneh led the delegation and conveyed the party’s and family’s deep appreciation for the President’s empathetic response. He highlighted the President’s sustained concern during the statesman’s illness and his immediate directives to facilitate the return of his remains to Sierra Leone.
“Your Excellency, we are here as representatives of the APC and the family to express our genuine thanks for your kindness and rapid action. Your instructions to support the repatriation process have meant a great deal to us, and we are aware of your continued care during his sickness,” Yansaneh stated.
In response, President Bio offered his condolences, honoring the late Hon. Mansaray as a distinguished figure whose contributions went beyond party lines. He emphasized that the nation had lost a man who significantly impacted democratic governance and development. The President encouraged the family and APC to find strength in his legacy and assured them that the Government would support a dignified funeral for the late statesman. He closed by wishing the departed soul eternal peace.
