Bangura Donates 11 Motorbikes To APC Women Leaders In Kenema

Dr. Ibrahim Bangura, a leading All People’s Congress (APC) flagbearer aspirant, has donated eleven motorbikes to constituency chairladies in Kenema District, in what supporters describe as a historic first for the party’s women leadership structure in the area.

The motorbikes were officially handed over on March 25, 2026, by the DIB Kenema Coordinating Team, led by District Coordinator Mohamed Bengeh, to eleven constituency chairladies across the district. The gesture is seen as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and enhance the operational capacity of women leaders within the party.

The donation followed Bangura’s earlier pronouncement during his visit to the district, where he emphasised that his campaign goes beyond symbolic politics, focusing instead on practical support for party stakeholders, particularly women who play key roles in political organisation and voter engagement.

According to Bangura, the initiative is aimed at empowering female political leaders and improving their ability to effectively coordinate activities across constituencies. He stressed that women remain central to the APC’s structure and electoral success, and must be adequately supported to deliver on their responsibilities.

The event was marked by enthusiasm among party supporters, especially the beneficiaries, who described the gesture as timely and impactful. The donation is also being viewed as part of Bangura’s broader strategy to consolidate support at the grassroots level as the contest for the APC flagbearer position intensifies.
