The National Secretariat of the All People’s Congress (APC) has announced a final opportunity for party members, aspirants and stakeholders to resolve all outstanding concerns ahead of the party’s forthcoming constituency elections.
In a public notice issued on Friday, July 17, and signed by the APC National Secretary General, Lansana Dumbuya Esq., the party said the decision followed a resolution reached during the Extended National Advisory Committee (NAC) meeting held on Thursday, July 16.
The APC directed all members with genuine unresolved concerns to report to the party’s National Secretariat at 11A Old Railway Line, Brookfields, Freetown, on Saturday, July 18, and Sunday, July 19, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. for the resolution process.
According to the notice, the exercise represents the final administrative window through which the National Secretariat will receive, examine and, where appropriate, resolve legitimate complaints before the constituency elections are conducted. The party said the initiative is intended to ensure fairness, transparency and an amicable resolution of disputes.
The APC reaffirmed its commitment to guaranteeing every eligible member an equal opportunity to participate in the party’s democratic processes, stressing that no member should be disenfranchised or unfairly denied participation due to concerns that can be addressed administratively before the elections. Members attending the exercise have also been advised to bring all relevant documents and supporting information to facilitate the timely determination of their cases.
The party further urged members to approach the process with patience, mutual respect and confidence in the APC’s constitutional and administrative mechanisms, noting that the party’s strength has always been rooted in unity, justice, discipline and comradeship.
The APC expressed optimism that the exercise would contribute to peaceful, credible and transparent constituency elections that reflect the democratic values of the party. It also stated that the Independent Elections Complaint Board (IECB) and the Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) had been formally notified of the public notice.
