President of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio, has received former Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan, during an official visit to Freetown as Special Envoy of Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to President Bio, discussions during the meeting were cordial and constructive, focusing on matters of mutual interest between Sierra Leone and Nigeria.
The Sierra Leonean leader said he also conveyed fraternal greetings to President Tinubu during the engagement.
“Today, I granted an audience to the former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, H.E. Goodluck Jonathan, who is visiting in his capacity as Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of Nigeria, H.E. Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“We engaged in a constructive discussion, during which I conveyed my fraternal greetings to President Tinubu,” President Bio stated.
The visit further highlights the longstanding diplomatic relationship and cooperation between Sierra Leone and Nigeria on regional and continental matters.
